In the quest for healthier children, what appears a secret is in reality improving the lives of masses.
A child's health lies in the function of their nervous system (the brain, spinal cord and the nerves) which is protected by the spine. Misalignments or subluxations in the crucially positioned spinal column can cause injury to vital nerves damaging body functions (sight, hearing, touch, thinking, dreaming, breathing, heart beating, moving, running, sleeping, walking, crawling, laughing, singing, remembering, etc.) and/or body systems (lymphatic system, digestive system, circulatory system, immune system, musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, endocrine system, and urinary system) making health unattainable.
Some warning signs of spine and nervous system damage, subluxation, are poor posture, slouching, scoliosis (lateral curvature in the spine), tilting of the head, neck or back sensitivity, trouble lying comfortably on the back, difficulty breastfeeding or preference to one breast, prolonged crying or irritability, swelling, pain, growing pains, bowed legs, feet that are turned in or out, a short leg, uneven facial structure or cranial structures, preference to head position during sleep or in general, head tilt, chronic ear infections, colic, and lowered immunity.
Even though chiropractors do not treat symptoms or diseases they do specialize in the detection and correction of subluxations. Chiropractors give very specific chiropractic adjustments which realign the subluxated vertebra, take the irritation off the nerves and allow the child's body to heal naturally.
In fact, over 1 million chiropractic adjustments are given to children every year! Kids absolutely love being adjusted!
Studies over the last one hundred years have repeatedly proven the safety and efficacy of children and newborn adjustments. Pediatric adjustments are extremely gentle and soothing while, newborn adjustments are even softer and often accomplished with a slight touch of the pinky finger. Many times they are so gentle children can remain asleep throughout the entire adjustment!
Of course, adjustments should never be given by anyone other than a licensed chiropractor because of the severity of subluxations.
Parents commonly report their children have less infections (ear, nose and throat), faster healing, better breathing, less allergies, less asthma, better concentration, less growing pains, less colic, better breastfeeding, better digestion, less bed wetting, improved skull development and unbalanced facial features, correction with scoliosis, improved balance, less leg and pelvis problems, improvement in torticollis (twisted neck), less seizures, and better health with chiropractic care.
It is never too early to have your child checked for harmful subluxations since they can often occur during the birth process, even the gentlest ones, when the newborn's delicate neck may be accidentally twisted or turned. In fact, thousands of parents have their newborns checked for subluxations immediately after their child is born!
Other important times to have children checked are when a child learns to hold up his/her head, begins to crawl and learns to walk, since these stages may often affect spinal alignment.
Years of injuries, traumas, accidents, sports, falls, poor posture and stress add up to years of neglected spinal damage that often leads to health problems which worsen in adulthood! As a matter of fact, researchers have found that most of the health conditions that affect us as adults began when we were kids.
In order to give your children the best health possible you must be certain your child is subluxation-free and healthy by having a chiropractic nervous system examination complete with a non-invasive thermal and SEMG scan. The most important thing you can do as a parent is to ensure your children are and remain subluxation-free.
